Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings must be made and paid for through this website. Once the payment is successfully completed, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to the registered email address.
Some tours require a minimum number of participants to operate. If the minimum number is not met, the customer will be notified in advance and a full refund will be provided.
All times and deadlines mentioned in this policy are based on Japan Standard Time (JST).


2. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) and are based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase.
Details of what is included or excluded in each tour or product are clearly stated on the respective product page.
We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, Alipay, and other secure payment methods supported by our system.
By completing the payment, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all the terms outlined in this policy.


3. Cancellation and Refund Policy (Standard Rules)

Unless otherwise specified on the product page, the following standard cancellation policy applies:

Cancellations made 10 days or more before departure: Full refund.

Cancellations made 9–5 days before departure: 50% of the total amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 4 days of departure, or failure to show up on the day of the tour (No-show): Non-refundable.

If the tour is canceled by the operator due to weather conditions, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, public health concerns, or failure to meet the minimum group size, a full refund will be issued.
However, no further compensation or additional damages shall be claimed by the customer.
Refunds will be limited strictly to the amount actually paid for the booking and will not cover indirect costs such as flights, hotels, visas, or insurance.


4. Product-Specific Policies

Each product may have its own cancellation and refund policy depending on its characteristics — such as seasonal operations, event permits, or supplier agreements.
In case of any discrepancy between this general policy and the specific policy listed on an individual product page,
the policy stated on the product page shall take precedence.


5. Refund Method

All refunds will be processed through the original payment method (Credit Card, PayPal, Alipay, etc.).
Processing time typically takes 3–10 business days, depending on the customer’s bank or payment provider.
Any variations caused by currency exchange rates or third-party processing fees are beyond our control and will not be reimbursed.


6. Special Tours and Non-Refundable Products

Certain products — including limited festival events (e.g., Shirakawa-go Light-Up), special packages, or private/custom tours — may be non-refundable once booking confirmation is issued, or may allow one-time rescheduling subject to availability.

7. Governing Law and Interpretation Rights

This policy is governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or relating to this website or our services shall be submitted to the Osaka District Court as the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
Mantatsu Travel Transportation Co., Ltd. reserves the final interpretation and decision rights regarding this policy and all related products.
