Lovely tour around the cemetery and mausoleum/temple at the end. Our tour guide was really nice and pointed out the history of the place and any special sights.

A breathtaking city! Full of charm, mystery, millennia of history, and a tradition that can be felt on every corner. Our guide was absolutely essential: he shared the stories and traditions of each place, revealing details that would have gone completely unnoticed without him. We truly loved his company — always polite and patient (even with our barrage of questions and endless photo sessions, haha). Koyasan is a place that must be on the itinerary of anyone visiting Japan. It is a unique, profound, and unforgettable experience… one that will remain in our memory forever. :))

Copying sutras in Koyasan was calming. I didn’t understand the characters, but tracing each line felt like meditation. When I finished, I felt lighter and relaxed.

The trip was very well planned and had lots of sights and opportunities to walk around! The tour guide was also very funny and had many interesting points of interest that she noted along the trip.

Walking under tall cedar trees on the Kumano Kodo felt like stepping back in time. The shrines and signposts made me imagine pilgrims centuries ago. Ending with a hot spring was perfect.

It was very informative and we covered all the highlights of Koyasan. The guide was well informed , friendly and really made the tour special.

Owakudani felt like Mars—steam, sulfur, and black eggs boiled in hot springs. They say one egg adds seven years to your life… I ate two! Strange but so fun.

Het was een fantastische dag, met veel waardevolle informatie van onze hele fijne gids 🙏🏻 Ze heeft ontzettend veel kennis over de geschiedenis en weet dit goed over te brengen. De begraafplaats is imposant, zowel qua natuur als qua opzet. De traditionele lunch was een mooie ervaring, evenals het kopiëren van de soetra. Kortom, een dag die het geld meer dan waard was.

It was a fantastic day, with a great deal of valuable information from our wonderful guide 🙏🏻 She has an incredible amount of knowledge about history and conveys it very clearly. The cemetery is impressive, both in terms of its natural surroundings and its overall layout. The traditional lunch was a lovely experience, as was copying the sutra. All in all, it was a day that was more than worth the money.
